History

In 1988 John and Nan formed Nidlinger Farms Incorporated with Nan's brother Duane. Duane's family also has had a long history in Agriculture in Adams County dating back to the early 1860's.  Today NFI is comprised of John, Nan, Duane, and John's oldest son JD.

The farm that is base of operations for NFI today was originally purchased by Nathan Nidlinger on July 27, 1865.  His son John D continued and expanded the farm and developed national prominence as a Duroc Swine breeder.  His youngest son Hugh was the next generation to enter into a career of farming. Following family tradition Warren became the fourth generation to till the soils in northern Adams County.  And today John and Jd represent the fifth and sixth generations to farm at the same location.
